About Me

  My name is Karen and I am the owner of Lilynut Quilting Creations. I began quilting about 20 years ago and it is my passion. I bought my first longarm machine not knowing anything about it as I had made my first quilt and tried to quilt on my home machine and was not happy with the results. When I saw what a longarm quilting machine could do I was hooked. I took classes both in person and online, went to lectures and had the opportunity to learn from other longarm quilters. Friends started asking me to complete their quilts and I decided to start my business in 2014. In 2022 my husband Brian started working with me doing the computer edge-to-edge quilting making the turn around time 1-2 weeks and I work mostly on custom quilting. Many people ask me how I chose the name of my business as it is unique. Brian suggested we use our dogs names Peanut and Lily and that was how Lilynut Quilting Creations was born.
